I am the Product Marketing Manager for AppSense.

I provide leadership throughout the commercial messaging, positioning and delivery of the AppSense Management Suite solution set. I focus on product marketing strategies for both our channel partner model and end user install base.

In addition to external communications, I manage the direction and positioning of AppSense products, working with analysts and customers to design solutions that maximize user adoption in the virtual world.

I am the creator of insidetheregistry.com but that's as far as it goes - the site is strictly independent and vendor agnostic and anyone is invited to contribute and post views...

I was awarded the Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) in 2009 and have presented at various trade shows including Citrix Synergy and VMWorld. I am a frequent contributor to www.dabcc.com.

In my spare time I develop this little baby (the website), and spend time with my lovely wife Vicki and daughter Mia.

Originally for Warrington in the United Kingdom I now live in Coral Springs in Florida (near Fort Lauderdale) and although gone through Katrina and Wilma have never looked back.

As a side-note I do have a background as a professional performing magician, am a member of the Magic Circle (London) and the Magic Castle (Los Angeles). I find IT very similar, smoke and mirrors.

I hope you enjoy what I've got to say and if not, let me know.

Formerly the VP of Professional Services for a Citrix VAR in Chicago, IL for the past 10 years, I now spend my time helping organizations successfully implement Desktop Virtualization strategies as the Principal Solutions Consultant at AppSense. After almost 15 years as a Citrix and server virtualization architect, during which time I had the opportunity to help many Fortune 500 organizations with their Citrix architecture and implementations, I have chosen to focus on Desktop Virtualization/Cloud solutions.

In my personal time, when not totally being a techie and immersing myself in new gadgets, I am an avid motorsports fan and professional cross county motocross racer. If not in front of the computer, you will find me in my garage working on one of several “projects”.

I hope you like my articles, but if you don’t….well I suppose that will give us something to talk about wont it, after all what fun is life without a bit on conflict!!

I am currently an architect at AppSense, having been responsible for the initial idea and implementation of their very first product, namely Application Manager, and have been working with Citrix products at a technical level since 1995.

My background is in development, first on Unix then Windows, as well as consultancy and even some pre-sales and customer support thrown in.

Any spare time I get these days seems to be spent "playing" with technology.

I was proud to receive the VMware vExpert award in 2009.
